What a treat!
I recently went to Darcys for lunch to celebrate a friends birthday. Even though we were the only diners we were treated impeccably by the waiting staff. They were friendly and efficient but gave us space to relax and enjoy our meal. And enjoy it we did. We were allowed to order a mix of the a la carte andamp; the set menu which meant we could take advantage of an additional glass of wine! I had Prosciutto, mozzarella andamp; fresh peach to start followed by herb crusted pork. Both were delicious and presented beautifully. The deserts were equally mouth watering. Everyone was impressed and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The meal was topped off with a beautiful 'birthday plate' for the birthday girl - she was thrilled. I love Darcys and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody wanting a special dining experience.

class
Darcys is classy but not pretentious, high-end but not overpriced - and the food is delicious. For starters we had kangaroo, imam bialdi, goats cheese, and jerk chicken. For main course - swordfish, steak, lamb and kudu. Fantastically presented, and extremely tasty, with excellent service in beautifully decorated surroundings. The best restaurant in St Albans? Must be up there. [Nov 09]

Impeccable
Darcy's exemplifies the key qualities of a really good restaurant: creative flair, attention to detail, delicious food, excellent wine and impeccable service. Try the marinated kangaroo - beautifully tender, lean and full flavoured. Highly recommended. [Nov 09]

A welcoming meal!
Having recently moved to St A, it was a stroke of luck to find Darcy's. Food is very well, thoughtfully prepared, set menu is reasonable value and service excellent. Apparently one of the owners is an Aussie - hence the Kangaroos in the window.. Just as good quality as my old locals in London! [Sep 09]

St Albans
This restaurant is the best in St Albans by far! the menu is a bit ecclectic but never fails to impress, the staff are very friendly and knowledgable and I can't get enough of their frozen daiquiris (however you spell it!) Highly reccomended! [Jun 09]
