A Lovely Little Place

Zaza, formerly Sazio, is a great place to eat. The food is really good and the prices are very reasonable. I tend to go there for lunch as they have a really good lunch menu. [Nov 11]

really great

We couldn't believe such a lovely place existed down the little corridor, it is such a lovely surprise! Food is fantastic and very tasty, service is wonderful staff are really friendly. We have recommended it to lots of our friends and will certainly be going back again and again. [Jun 10]

Warm welcome

Having spent 20 minutes in Zizzi waiting for someone to come and take our order - we decided to leave and head across the road to SAZIO - glad we did. What a different experience to the indifference from Zizzi - we were welcomed warmly and the service and food did not disappoint. We arrived at 8pm - but if you order before 7.30 you can get 2 courses for £8.95. Will definitely be going there regularly from now on. [Feb 10]

We've just enjoyed our first visit to Sazio (on a good value BOGOF deal currently available on their website) and we came away very impressed. It's busy and buzzy, just as an Italian should be, and the service and food surpassed expectations. It's a nice half way house between a high street chain and the more £££ Cibo di Vino. Looks like they have a very good value lunch deal too which we'll no doubt be investigating soon. Ciao. [Aug 09]

Great service, great food

We had our first visit to this lovely restaurant the other night and we will definitely go back. A good range of food and everything we had was tasty, plus the plates were warm and the service was attentive and quick. Great atmosphere and I wouldn't take the aged ps in the evening because of the noise but we loved it.  [May 09]

A Great Find

Visiting St Albans with our family, our three generations were delighted with the tasty, modestly priced, freshly prepared food served at Sazio. Grandpa (of Italian origin and normally quite critical of Italian food in the U.K.) was able to satisfy his larger appetite with a second-helping of pasta followed by a large Tiramisu, our toddler grandson enjoyed his cucumber, carrot and cheese puff starter, followed by tomato pasta and minichino drink with biscotti and between these two extremes, the adults enjoyed the well prepared food and good service they received. We were all made to feel most welcome and it was a particular pleasure to find children catered for and regarded so well. [Jan 09]

Great all rounder

Our first experience of Sazio was very positive - from the green-themed corridor with its illuminated stairs to the warm, comfortable interior and the friendly, swift service. We took advantage of the tempting 'all you can eat for £5.95' lunch deal to try several freshly cooked pasta dishes from the nine on offer, as well as something from the a la carte menu. Everything was tasty and very filling (we're not sure how the other diners managed more than one helping!). We shared a delicious dessert and finished off with some quality cappuccino. Great value for lunch and highly recommended. [Jan 09]

Go beyond the corridor

We have been to Sazio 3 times over the last 9 months and had a good meal each time. The seafood linguini, pumpkin ravioli, and lasagne are all recommended, and the cheesecake was dramatically presented. All topped off with good, friendly service - worth the trip down the long corridor to get in. [Oct 08]
